Eastside’s April Updates
Dear Friends of Eastside,
I hope you’re doing well and enjoying spring.
April Foolery 2024
Last week we hosted April Foolery, our annual fundraising Gala event in the West End. It was a wonderful evening of stand up comedy and poetry in London’s glittering Criterion Theatre.
Stars of the UK’s stand up comedy scene took to the stage, including Jenny Eclair, Simon Brodkin, Jordan Gray, Alasdair Beckett-King, Steve Punt, Rajiv Karia, Bella Hull, Mark Thompson and hosted by long-time friend of Eastside, Hugh Dennis.
A massive thank you to all who attended and helped to make April Foolery the great success it was.
We raised £29,327 towards our Lund Fund goal of £1 million, bringing our total so far up to £86,613!
Can you help us reach our target £100,000 by the end of the year?
Support Us
Sadly, it is a challenging time for so many young people across the UK with 30% growing up in poverty. Schools are under great pressure and facing budget restrictions. The arts and cultural education opportunities, are being reduced or in some cases cut completely. This is why your support will help us more than ever in delivering life changing creative and cultural opportunities to those young people who need it the most.
If you haven’t yet donated to this wonderful cause, help us reach our target of raising £100k by the end of 2024. You can donate via our website.
Every donation we receive, large or small, helps to fund the important work we do, and allows us to expand our reach and help even more young people.
