Introducing The Big Give: Arts for Impact 2026 - Your Donation, Doubled 📣
From midday on Tuesday 17th March until Tuesday 25th March, Eastside is taking part in the Big Give Arts for Impact campaign. Every donation made through Eastside’s campaign page during this window will be doubled, but only if we raise our share of the match funding first.
We need to raise £3,750 to unlock £7,500 in total matched funding for our Spoken Word Power project: from page to West End stage.
Funding from this campaign will see our Spoken Word Power programme place professional spoken word artists into Hackney primary schools to deliver poetry workshops, host school-wide poetry slams, and bring young people to perform at a West End venue. It specifically supports children with Special Educational Needs and those who speak English as an Additional Language, young people who are too often left out of fully funded creative opportunities.
One in three young people in the UK report having little or no confidence (according to Hark’s 2025 Listen Up report). Spoken Word Power gives them their voice back.
The campaign goes live at midday on Tuesday 17th March. You can find all the details and the link to donate here.
Welcoming Hugh Dennis as a new Eastside Patron ⭐️
We are delighted to announce that actor, comedian and writer Hugh Dennis has joined Eastside as a patron.
Hugh has hosted Eastside’s sell out April Foolery fundraiser events since 2022 and is a wonderful addition to our fantastic group of Patrons. Welcome Hugh!
Could You Become an Eastside Trustee? 📝
We are looking for new trustees to join the Eastside board. Are you passionate about the power of the arts to transform young lives? We are seeking individuals who can help shape the next chapter of our organisation as we enter our fourth decade of delivery and expand our work to a national audience.
We are particularly keen to hear from those with experience in fundraising and philanthropy, digital or creative arts, legal, education, or facilities management, as well as those with strong networks and connections to high-net-worth individuals, grant-giving trusts, or corporate foundations. We are also actively encouraging applications from people from diverse backgrounds and those with relevant lived experience. We believe our board should reflect the communities we work with.
⏰ Applications close 23rd March 2026.
