Who we are

Eastside is working towards a future in which all young people’s creativity is valued, nurtured and celebrated

Our history

In 1994, co-founders Chris Enticott and Rakhee Jasani launched Eastside with a production of Bugsy Malone. From New York’s Lower East-Side to one of the last surviving Royal Navy warships of the First World War, to our current HQ in Shoreditch, Eastside has been on an incredible journey.

2024 marked Eastside’s 30th Anniversary, and to celebrate we hosted a special exhibition and created a series of short films and podcasts exploring the history of Eastside as a charity – and looking ahead to inspire future generations to explore their creativity.

Today, Eastside is made up of a team of creative, ambitious and hard-working professionals, collaborating to provide life changing creative opportunities for young people

We would not be able to reach so many without the incredible support of our skilled Artists, experienced Trustees, dedicated Partners, generous Donors, and esteemed Patrons.
