Oli writes for theatre and television and is the recipient of the 2024 Jerwood New Playwright award. His latest play BRACE BRACE will premiere at the Royal Court in 2024. He’s always written poetry alongside his other work, performing at festivals all over the UK and hosting the critically acclaimed ‘Stand Up and Slam’. Oli has been working with Eastside for three years.

However, nothing beats the first round of applause that the students get on their Slam Days [during Spoken Word Power]. For many of them, it’s the first time they’ve had a chance to perform to an audience, and watching them absorb the positive feedback is a very special moment.”
