Verse vs Verse is our signature 3-year Creative Literacy programme for primary school children from North and West London. Launched in September 2014, Verse vs Verse aims to develop the confidence and creative thinking of every child who takes part, as well as ignite imaginations and a love for poetry that we hope will last for a lifetime.

Verse vs Verse is not about the mechanics of reading and writing, but rather about helping children to access the magic found in books. We know that discovering this magic will help the children we are working with to unlock their potential and achieve more in their academic studies.

“There has been a noticeable difference in the pupils’ confidence, creativity and quality of writing with an increase in those reaching the greater depth standard this year.” – Verse vs Verse Teacher

We have now recruited schools for the 2017-2020 programme. If you are interested in future programmes, please subscribe to our newsletter below to be the first to hear.

Verse vs Verse is generously supported by John Lyon’s Charity.
