How is your school celebrating Black History Month this October?


All the workshops below have been carefully designed to help your students create a buzz and appreciate black culture and history whilst mastering key skills such as confidence, creative thinking and imagination.


African Rhythms

Suitable for KS2 & KS3

Give students the chance to try African drumming and dance, building an appreciation of African cultural traditions, whilst developing rhythm and movement skills.

Black History Heroes

Suitable for KS2 & KS3

Let Eastside take your class on a journey to explore the lives of key black figures including Mary Seacole, Nelson Mandela and many more.


Choose which art form you’d like us to use, either Drama, Spoken Word Poetry or Illustration.


anansi adventures

Suitable for KS1 & KS2

Join Anansi the Spider and his friends on a traditional Ghanaian storytelling adventure, introducing pupils to cultural traditions through exploration and active learning, whilst developing key skills like confidence, vocabulary and speaking & listening.
