Our Teacher Advisory Group puts teachers’ voices at the heart of developing our creative educational offerings for schools. Members of the group will act as advisors and ambassadors for Eastside’s Schools Programme in their school and community.
In return for your valuable insight, we will provide you with special invitations to Teacher events, discounts on workshops, free ticket offers and access to a network of like-minded, London-based teachers.
Aim:
To integrate the voices of teachers into the planning and development of Eastside’s Schools Programme and to explore ways to strengthen the quality and extend the reach of our participatory arts programmes.
Meetings would take place three times a year, once in-person at the offices (with drinks and nibbles after!) and twice online for a duration of approx. 1.5 hours.
We are looking for teachers who can:
- offer valuable insight and expertise to our schools programmes and policies across primary, secondary and SEND settings.
- support us in understanding the needs of educators, schools, and children and young people.
- support us in ensuring Eastside’s work is delivering accessible, inclusive and engaging creative experiences for teachers, children and young people.
- offer support with programme development and design, advising on the alignment of our programmes with key national curriculum requirements
- advise on how we engage with teachers and how best we can support them
- support us in reviewing and evaluating the success of the Teacher Advisory Group
Our offering:
- Professional development opportunity to influence and curate the future of an arts organisation working with schools in your area
- Insight into a leading creative learning organisation (funded by Arts Council England) for children and young people
- Free ticket offers and special invitations to Teacher Events run by Eastside and Eastside’s Partners
- Discounts on Eastside’s Schools Workshops
- Be a part of a network of like-minded, London-based teachers
