I’m an independent filmmaker/director and writer of short-form narrative fiction. I work across disciplines in film production and enjoy working professionally as a video editor, camera operator and all-round video producer.  Much of my work has been producing humanitarian-focused charity and informative films. I love stories that reflect the multi-facets of human nature and cause us to look at ourselves individually and in the context of this world, recognising and acknowledging our strengths, weaknesses, flaws, contradictions, and opportunities to grow. I find great reward in sharing knowledge and experience, supporting students through the creative and technical processes of filmmaking, and encouraging and nurturing confidence and expression in the next generation.

Of late I’ve been experimenting with my own photography, and after many years have returned to drawing!

It has been my pleasure to work with Eastside since 2022, and have enjoyed acting as Lead Mentor on the BFI Film Academy, and delivering camera, lighting and editing workshops to students in Newham as part of Eastside’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.

Quinn’s Eastside Highlight:

A highlight of my time with Eastside so far has been leading the Cultural Producers Workshop which offered students the opportunity to make their own short film in two days! Comprising of presentations and activities lead by industry professionals, students utilised their new knowledge to plan, film and edit their own short film, which they did with enjoyment.

Quinn’s Goal for the Future:

I love what I do, and my aims are to continue developing and exploring as a filmmaker, mentor, creative, and person.
