Terry Corby: Chair

Chief Commercial Officer, Creative Industries Federation & Creative England: I am proud to Chair the Board of Eastside. I joined as a Trustee and Designate Chair early in 2020 and took over in the role when the previous Chair, James Petersen, stepped down. I am looking to take Eastside into its next growth phase by supporting Matt and his team and engaging our brilliant Board of Trustees and Patrons.

Andrew Hall: Treasurer

Retired Chief Financial Officer: I am delighted to be working with Matt and his team to deliver wonderful creative opportunities for young people to perform. I have a passion for the theatre, watching not acting! and am pleased to bring my 30+ years of accounting experience to the Treasurer role for Eastside to  provide even more chance for those youngsters to enjoy the "Stage" and gain confidence and increase their self-esteem.

Anna Nicholson

Global Vice President, Marketing at EF Education First: I have a particular focus on supporting Matt and the team on their marketing strategy, including building Eastside’s reputation and reach among relevant teacher, student and potential donor communities as well as helping to maximise the fundraising potential of our events. I am able to draw upon nearly 15 years’ experience in marketing, branding and communications across the private sector.

Partner at Hakluyt & Company: I have spent over 15 years working in corporate strategy and finance, and am currently a partner at Hakluyt, a global intelligence and advisory firm. At Eastside, my role on the board is to explore our marketing strategy, commercial and industrial connectivity and support the development of our network among key corporate and fundraising contacts. I am passionate about Eastside’s work and the important role the organisation plays in our communities.

Laura Herman

User Experience Research Lead, Creative Cloud & Emerging Products at Adobe: As a trustee I will bring a user-centred, research-minded approach to the organisation and I will also aid in Eastside's increasing digital presence. I look forward to furthering Eastside's longstanding relationship with Adobe, a fellow Shoreditch-based company, focussed on uplifting the next generation of creatives. Currently in my research at Adobe and the University of Oxford Internet Institute, I examine how technology based design affordances influence artistic output and creative access with a particular focus on historically underinvested communities. Previously I studied cognitive neuropsychology at Princeton University, and i've also held research positions at Intel and Harvard University.

Ombudsman Leader at the Financial Ombudsman Service: My professional background is in operations, strategy, regulatory investigations and leading projects. Outside of work I’ve been a school governor and I’ve spent the last 8 years living in Hackney, so I’m delighted to support such a great local charity. I work with Matt and the board of trustee’s to help Eastside deliver its strategic objectives - and continue to expand the delivery of our outstanding creative programmes to young people across London and the UK.

Nina Mckay

Former Headteacher and Local Authority Advisor: My professional background is in Primary education. More recently, I have consulted on a research project which supports children with additional SEMH needs, and have been completing an MA in Educational Neuroscience.
