Vodafone FoundationThe support from The Vodafone UK Foundation has enabled Eastside Educational Trust to take on eight new full-time members of staff over the past two years, fully paid for a period of two months each. This additional staffing has enabled us to increase our capacity and has included; administration staff, press and marketing, video editing, photography, website development and fundraising support. The Vodafone Foundation invests in the communities in which Vodafone operates and is at the centre of a network of social investment programmes. The World of Difference UK programme gives people the chance to work for a UK-based charity of their choice for two months, and get paid for their time. The aim of the programme is to take corporate philanthropy in a new direction. By providing funding to skilled people with a passion to work for charity, it provides new talent into the third sector and taps into their energy and ambition to deliver more to the charity than money alone can give. A message from the Vodafone UK Foundation: Globally, our Foundation makes social investments by funding projects which use mobile technology for the benefit of all, and via our unique World of Difference programme which supports the important work of UK-based charities like Eastside Educational Trust. Our social investment is delivered by a unique footprint of twenty-seven Vodafone Foundations and social investment programmes. These programmes are directed and chosen by the Foundation Trustees and receive funding from the Vodafone Foundation in the UK. |
