worlddrumWorld Drumming - Global Beats

World drumming incorporates rhythms from around the globe. You could learn to play the Dhol, a drum widely used in the Indian subcontinent, or try out the Djembe, Sabar and Kpanlogo drums from Africa. You can even form your own Bateria, the Brazilian style percussion bands, common in Samba schools that also accompany the Brazilan martial art of Capoeira. These lively and energetic percussion workshops teach you traditional hand drumming techniques and build ear, eye and hand co-ordination.

Project suitable for:
ks1 (5 - 8), ks2 (8 - 11), ks3 (11 - 14), ks4 (14 - 16), teenage, young adult
