Storyboards can be drawn by hand, or created electronically to display the sequential flow of a story in the form of rough sketches like a comic book. The storyboarding process was first developed at the Walt Disney Studios in the early 1930s and today are used primarily in film making to design individual shots before filming. They are also common in comic strip, animation, books, TV commercials, and multimedia design. Storyboarding is a great way to visualise the key moments and important elements of a story. The drawings do not have to be beautifully illustrated but they must convey the meaning and the emotion behind the ideas.
