screen printing

screenprintingScreen Printing

Screen printing is a technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil, as a roller or squeegee is moved across the frame the ink is forced through the mesh and creates an image onto the surface beneath. As part of this workshop you will prepare silk screens and create your own designs which you can print onto T-shirts or you could work on large screens to create a much bigger piece for display. This is a great way to work with a variety of different materials and learn more about colour, pattern and design. Combine it with one of our other workshops and consider what is important when designing logos or even develop a screenprinted campaign.
