Pop Art flourished in Britain and the USA during the 1950s and 1960s and is the name given to versions of art on both sides of the Atlantic that drew inspiration from sources in popular and commercial culture. These sources included Hollywood movies, advertising, pop music and comic books. This workshop will introduce you to the work of artists such as Lichtenstein, Warhol and Hockney who helped to make the movement famous and with some help from our pop art experts you will create your own interpretations of their work to enter our Pop Art ‘Hall of Fame’.
