drama and performance

physical theatre

physicalPhysical Theatre

Modern physical theatre has grown from a variety of origins including the mime based work of Lecoq and the poor theatre of Grotowski. Physical theatre is a collaborative and controlled artform using close observation of the body and the world to create theatre and performance. This workshop will teach you how to tell a story through physical means and create unique characters or explore abstract themes such as space or time. You will also have the opportunity to use masks which are excellent aids for developing expression, characterisation, and confidence.
