Performance Poetry is a form of literary art or artistic performance sometimes known as spoken word or live literature in which lyrics, poetry, or rap are performed live on stage. Performance poets and spoken word artists create their own stage persona to connect with their audiences in original ways and poets often square-off in Poetry Slams or pit their wits against each other with freestyle rap. This workshop will cover everything from writing your poem to developing your voice and performance. Why not also experience one of the live performance poetry gigs or spoken word events on the London circuit?
