The pioneers of Modern dance challenged popular consciousness through an avant-garde approach to movement. Their overt rejection of the traditional classical dance, created ‘free dance’. Isadora Duncan was a pioneer of free dance, creating an improvisational style of expressive dance, performed to classical music. Her goal was to abstractly represent her emotional response to the music. This workshop challenges you to explore themes of contemporary life where boundaries are blurred and challenged.
