Forum Theatre

Forum Theatre was developed by Brazilian theatre director, Augusto Boal. A group of performers will present a short, devised play dealing with an issue of concern to participants and/or an audience. However, when the crisis of the action is reached the drama stops. Through a Forum Theatre workshop, many people will take to the stage and show a variety of different outcomes. The process allows the participants to offer up their own opinions as to how conflicts should be resolved or to listen to solutions of other members of the group.
