Beatboxing originated from tribal cultures but has since found its way into mainstream music and rap. It is a form of vocal percussion connected with hip hop culture and is the art of producing drum beats, rhythm, and musical sounds using only your mouth, lips, tongue, voice, nasal passage and throat. It may also involve singing, vocal imitation of scratching and the simulation of horns, strings, and other musical instruments. This workshop will start you beatboxing and will teach you all the techniques you need to know to take your polyvocal performances to the next level.
