Using interactive performance techniques, this theatrical workshop will explore issues which are relevant to the participating group or audience, focusing primarily on the use of mask as metaphor i.e. as a ‘front’ or presenting behaviour. This also allows participants to explore the thoughts, feelings and beliefs, which are hidden ‘behind the mask’. Techniques include preparation for wearing masks, the neutral mask, the provocation of masks and improvisation in character masks.
Project suitable for:
ks3 (11 - 14), ks4 (14 - 16), teenage, young adult
