schools' projects
big ideas for enquiring minds

educational trust devise and deliver creative arts projects which enhance pupil’s educational experiences and successfully
engage and educate children through the arts. We
offer exciting opportunities for children to participate directly in arts and cultural activities as well as using the arts to make subjects such as English, maths,
science, history, citizenship and modern foreign languages seem more
relevant, appealing and enjoyable; above all, Eastside’s workshops demonstrate that learning can be fun!
We are able to offer workshops in school time and out of school hours, including extended school activities (breakfast clubs, after school clubs or weekend and holiday workshops). Workshops can tie in to the curriculum or run as
seperate enrichment activities and we can offer workshops which help young
people to prepare for their exams.
We regularly work with infant schools, junior schools, primary schools,
secondary schools (including specialist schools and academies) as well
as
with colleges and universities. We also work with nurseries, children’s centres,
special schools and hospital schools. Our projects are suitable for children and young people of all
ages and abilities, including those who
need additional help to develop their key basic skills and children who
have special educational needs and physical or learning disabilities.
We also run projects to develop and stretch more able students on
the Gifted and Talented register and provide master-classes and
mentoring for
young people interested in pursing careers within the creative and
cultural
industries or those who just want to experience new art
forms or have fun and try something new.
Eastside offer specialist support and INSETs for
teachers exploring how more creative approaches to teaching and learning can support children with a range of different learning
styles and can help schools to devise their own creative curriculums. We also work
closely with teachers and senior management to develop projects which fulfil each school's individual priorities and needs; we are also very experienced at helping schools to meet the demands of their School
Improvement Plans through engagement in the arts and creativity.
Eastside will manage all aspects of your project, artist residency or
cultural visit and nothing is left to chance; all of our Associate Artists are fully insured, and have
a valid Enhanced CRB Disclosure and one of our experienced Art-form Officers will liaise with the lead contact teacher at the school throughout the duration, ensuring the smooth running of the project. We even offer a free arts
consultation with one of our Art-form Officers to ensure you have the best project possible, if you are not sure which of our projects or workshops to choose, call us on 020 7033 2380 and we will arrange to come out and
meet with you and your colleagues at your school to help you choose the
right project for you and your students.
We look forward to working with you.
