welcome to the lower eastside (arts education centre)

educational trust has
a policy of investing in artists and arts educators; therefore we have given over an entire floor of our
building to house a fully equipped, purpose built arts education centre and training space which is dedicated to artist
development, volunteer and teacher training. The Lower Eastside comprises of a basement Studio space and our executive Boardroom, both of which are available for private hire, at very competitive rates. 100% of the income goes towards our work with children and their families in East London. The space includes free wireless
internet access (WIFI), an interactive whiteboard, access to PowerPoint presentations, and a small kitchen
area for teas, coffees and basic food preparation for events. In addition, there is disability access (via a lift from street level), disabled toilets, baby changing facilities and an induction loop for hearing impaired
users.
the studio

Eastside's studio is a self-contained flexible workshop space that can be used for training events, workshops, meetings or rehearsals. The Studio includes an interactive whiteboard, built-in speaker system and a small kitchen area. Tables and chairs are also available.
the boardroom

Eastside's boardroom seats up to 18 people and is ideal for private meetings, interviews, presentations or training seminars. A desk-top projector is available for displaying photos or screening powerpoint presentations and the room benefits from some natural daylight. Teas,coffees and pastries are available on request.

Eastside's extensive arts
reference library is available to use free of charge, and is open
Mondays to Fridays: 10am-5pm and some weekends and evenings. The
library is a reference library only (not a lending library) and is free to use but please book in advance.
training events and other activities
The Lower Eastside is a creative hub for arts practitioners and a key component in the origination of new projects and in developing the facilitation skills of our Associate Artists and volunteers. A varied programme of training events, seminars, cpd workshops and talks with guest speakers is open to all our Associate Artists, teachers, volunteers and local residents involved with Eastside.
Our extensive arts reference library is available to all our Associate Artists, volunteers, teachers and parents to use free of charge, and is open Mondays to Fridays: 10am-5pm and some weekends and evenings.
