Hello - I'm Nova Skelton; I have worked in banks and finance all my working life and now that I am retired I keep the books for Eastside and manage the charity’s accounts. The good thing about Eastside is that as a charity and a not for profit organisation, all the money donated by grants is invested into the programmes and services, directly for the benefit of the children, we do not have shareholders and the other trustees and I serve on a voluntary basis and do not get paid.
I am pleased to say that Eastside has always received generous support both from the charitable and voluntary sector as well as from big business; many of our funders have been long-time supporters indeed, some of our current funders have been with us from the very start, an indication perhaps that they know their money is being well spent. Eastside still needs more backing to fund its important work and I would urge you to donate your time, money or whatever help you can offer so that Eastside can do even more good and help to transform the lives of even more young people.
