Welcome to Eastside's new-look design and our new interactive website, in preparation for our sixteenth birthday in 2010. Our website has been redesigned to make it more user-friendly and accessible to the young people we work with, our friends, project partners and supporters. Eastside is proud to announce that our volunteer programme has just been awarded the Investing in Volunteers quality assurance standard, in recognition of our volunteering opportunities,
internships and work experience placements. Eastside's
volunteering programme which is supported by UBS, offers high-quality placements to over 100
volunteers each year, from across London and around the world. Our volunteer pages will give you the opportunity to read testimonials
of those that have volunteered with us recently and we do hope that you will be inspired to get involved too!
Bugsy Malone reunion for the class of 1994

Eastside is currently running a campaign in the local Tower Hamlets press to try and track down the original cast members from its inaugural youth theatre production of Bugsy Malone which was put on at the Emery Theatre in Poplar, East London in 1994.
Eastside to feature in London Children’s Film Festival

Eastside is working with two of London’s oldest cinemas this autumn, the Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley and the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton, as part of Performing for Success (PfS). A number of short documentaries made by Eastside's young film-makers about both cinemas will be screened as part of the 2009 London Children’s Film Festival (21-29 November).

Book your tickets now to enjoy a spectacular performance of unforgettable entertainment, live on stage at The Criterion Theatre in Piccadilly Circus on Saturday 7th November, 2009. (Curtain up at 11.30am, show will finish at 1pm). Up to 100 young people will take to the stage in an exclusive celebration of youth arts as they perform a showcase of popular hit songs from West End favourites such as Oliver!, Blood Brothers, The Lion King and Mamma Mia!
Graphic Truths and Mediabox

Eastside is giving young Londoners the chance to create, publish and exhibit their own illustrated magazine inspired by the rising popularity of the graphic novel. Young people from across London will combine investigative journalism with their passion and skill for drawing, as they tell the contemporary stories of their peers through comic book style reportage and interviews.
