co-founder and artistic director
"Today Eastside is busier and more creative than it has ever been, I am pleased and proud to lead an organisation that has grown steadily in size and stature since we launched in 1994."
Hello - I'm Chris Enticott; as a co-founder and Artistic Director of Eastside Educational Trust, I am very proud of the work that we do and the impact that we have on young Londoners and their families. We are lucky to work with many of the best artist educators in the world and our creative programme is endorsed by some of the top names from show-business and the media; on top of that, our projects and workshops are supported by a number of the world's leading companies and many major charitable trusts and foundations. This combination of excellence and influence has helped to position Eastside as the leading youth arts provider in London today, enabling us to provide more than 100,000 hours of workshop activities annually, to children and young people across the capital.
My role is to work closely with our inspired and resourceful creative team, to oversee the delivery of our entire artistic programme and to shape and develop our plans for the future. I am also responsible for the financial management of the organisation, as well as fundraising, project development and forward planning which I work on in close partnership with my co-director Rakhee Jasani and the team at Eastside. Our ever expanding artistic programme and our solid reputation for reliable and high quality work has turned Eastside in to the pre-eminent arts education company for children and young people and a multi-award winning charity. Today Eastside is busier and more creative than it has ever been and I am pleased and proud to lead an organisation that has grown steadily in size and stature since we launched in 1994. One of the founding principles of Eastside is that by working together we can achieve more than we ever thought possible, our growth and success is built upon teamwork and the considerable talents of the people that we work with; these include our full-time office staff, our Associate Artists and creative practitioners, our volunteers, trustees, patrons and supporters. My aim is to ensure that Eastside is a fun, enjoyable and challenging place to work and an exciting and vibrant organisation to work with. I hope that you will get involved with Eastside and help us to: make art happen for all young Londoners and their families.
