THE TEAM

East-Side Educational Trust is managed by a joint directorate comprising of Artistic Director Christopher Enticott and, Arts Development Director Rakhee Jasani, who together co-founded East-Side Educational Trust in 1994.

Christopher Enticott

Christopher Enticott oversees the company's operational finances and is responsible for developing East-Side's artistic policies and forward planning. Chris works closely with Rakhee on fundraising.

Rakhee Jasani

Rakhee Jasani is responsible for developing new projects and oversees project management. Rakhee is also responsible for developing new areas of the company's work and works closely with Chris on fundraising.

 

Alex Whitham

Alex Whitham, East-Side's Arts Development Officer, is an energetic, creative theatre practitioner, actor and director with 10 years of experience in devising, implementing and coordinating youth and community theatre projects, and 7 years of experience in directing professional works for the theatre. At East-Side Alex develops new projects and oversees projects across all the art forms.

East-Side Educational Trust has two art form officers who develop and manage individual projects.

Kate Mossman

Kate Mossman, East-Side's Performing Arts Officer develops and manages projects in drama, dance, music and singing. Her work varies from organizing afterschool clubs to coordinating long-term youth theatres and playwriting projects. She has produced and directed plays in London’s fringe venues, and also writes for the theatre.

Magda Jamka-Galea

Katy Royles, East-Side's Visual Arts and Literature Officer, has a background in English Literature and History of Art. She has taught in schools in South Africa, Tanzania and the UK as well as having worked in Arts Education in London. Katy's role at East-Side is to oversee and develop visual arts projects for all ages and abilities including 3D sculptures, arts and crafts, fine art, film-making and photography.

 

Barbara O'Brien

Cara Lee Roth is Eastside Educational Trust's Arts Award Co-ordinator. Originally from Canada, in 2003 Cara relocated to London to take her Masters in Arts Criticism and Arts Management. Since writing her thesis on Comic Book Art, Cara has become an enthusiast and champion for comics, graphic novels and manga. As the London Regional Coordinator for the Arts Award Cara arranges training days, facilitates networking groups and develops new initiatives for delivering and promoting the Arts Award in London. The Young People's Arts Award has been developed as a partnership between Arts Council England and Trinity College London and is the first youth arts award with QCA accreditation to recognise young artists and young arts leaders.

 

Barbara O'Brien

Kirsten Lyons is Eastside Educational Trust's Resource Centre Manager, has worked extensively in community visual arts, co-ordinated exhibitions and practiced as a photographer. Kirsten is a qualified Art Therapist, with experience in working with many different groups and in a variety of settings. Kirsten’s role at Eastside is to work closely with Chris and Rakhee in developing the new Resource Centre, which offers Continuing Professional Development opportunities for Arts Practitioners across all art forms.
