Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2010


Eastside was presented with The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service 2010, the MBE for volunteer groups. Eastside received a framed certificate signed by Her Majesty The Queen and an engraved domed glass crystal which were presented to the Trust by The Representative Deputy Lieutenant to the London Borough of Hackney, Lt. Col. Roderick Morriss, TD. DL. on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen. Also in attendance was the Deputy Speaker of Hackney, Councillor Linda Kelly.

 

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service is a UK National Honour that was created by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to mark the Golden Jubilee in 2002 and is the highest award given to volunteer groups across the UK for outstanding work done in their local communities.
