Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge 2010

In 2010 Eastside Educational Trust was awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) quality badge which is a national benchmark for the provision of educational visits. The LOtC qualiity standard recognises organisations offering high quality learning experiences for young people and managing risk effectively.

The quality badge is awarded to providers who have pledged to engage in an on-going process to sustain high-quality learning outside the classroom and who have demonstrated that they meet all the relevant quality indicators to ensure that all children and young people can benefit from increased opportunities for high quality and varied educational experiences outside the classroom.

The Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto sets out a vision to enable every young person to experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of their learning and personal development. The manifesto brings together a coalition of organisations to support schools and others in providing these valuable opportunities.
