Arts & Business New Partners Award 2002
Eastside Educational Trust and Deutsche Bank, working in partnership in 2002, were jointly nominated for the Arts & Business New Partners Award for our Arts Apprenticeships professional development and training programme. Eastside was recognised for taking the partnership beyond a purely financial relationship and our work which engaged Deutsche Bank employees in Eastside's educational programmes, was commended by the Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, for adding value to the partnership. Arts Apprenticeships culminated in Back to School, an event at the Merchant Taylor's Hall where Deutsche Bank employee volunteers celebrated their achievements in the community. Eastside was recognised twice in 2002 for its partnership with Deutsche Bank. The Arts & Business Awards are the UK's premier awards celebrating excellence in the field of cultural partnerships and sponsorship.
