Our signature Creative Literacy project is currently being delivered in London primary schools. We use creativity and imagination to build confidence and literacy skills and spark a lifelong love for reading in children, supported by a programme of high quality creative CPD for participating teachers.

25 aspiring filmmakers aged between 16 - 19 are currently deepening their knowledge of filmmaking through a series of workshops and masterclasses, in which they will get the chance to learn from, and work with, leading industry professionals through our BFI Film Academy programme.

Not only do our projects engage and educate children through direct participation in the arts, we also use the arts to make subjects such as English, science, history, maths, citizenship and modern foreign languages seem more relevant, appealing and fun!

free after school drama club

We are very excited to be partnering up with Croydon Youth Theatre Organisation (CYTO) again in Spring 2018 to deliver the final set of free after school youth theatre clubs for young people from secondary schools across Croydon. Click through for more info.

Eastside has its own arts education centre; The Lower Eastside which includes a Studio space and an executive Boardroom, which are available for private hire, at competitive rates. 100% of all the income raised goes towards our work with local children and their families in East London.
